A seamless blend of urban chic and ethnic charm, Meze Cafe is a Niš institution spread across two inviting levels and a lush summer garden, made the Meze cafe a popular place for a good lunch and an evening out. Beyond its rich culinary offerings, the menu itself tells a story of the city’s landmarks and legends. Following the local wisdom, begin your journey with a chilled glass of rakija and an imaginatively named ‘mezetluk’ - Njegoševa misao, Adžijino and Čorbadži meze, Srbija brale or the Mazano board, where creamy kajmak, smoky ajvar, and spicy ljutenica meet warm, toasted buns. Don’t miss the famous specialty of the South - gibanica served with sour milk. In the warm meze section, there are grilled oyster and button mushrooms. In the main part of the menu is everything from the grill. From the grill, the air fills with the aroma of juicy ćevapi and ribs on kajmak, gourmet pljeskavica and smoked sausage, and skewers, tenderloin, served with rustic potatoes baked in their skins. The wine list features a serious selection of labels from all over Serbia, and the dessert list includes refreshing apple cake with cinnamon and ice cream, tufahija and baklava with poppy seeds.
