Gault&Millau's review 2026

This romantic restaurant takes you back in time. Besides charm and romantic booths in the window, it offers a wonderful fusion of national and French cuisine. A classic like steak tartare is made here in the traditional way, finely ground, creamy, and moderately spicy. The portion is sizable, but do not fall for the classic toast - eat it with their homemade, crunchy white bread. Of course, if you feel particularly Parisian, you can start with appetizers of caviar, liver pate, or onion soup as a French classic. They will surely recommend the Café de Paris cutlet, and you will not go wrong. We, however, tried the veal cutlet in lemon sauce, slightly sour and sweet, juicy, with al dente pasta, excellent for all seasons. The veal is soft and melts in your mouth. The date cake with caramel sauce is the perfect finale. It is extremely sweet, so we recommend sharing it with someone close to your heart. Charming waiters will surely make you laugh, and with a glass of French wine or Port, romantic accordion music on the radio, and a kiss from a loved one, you will feel like you are in a real French love movie. This corner truly preserves the spirit of a bygone era, offering a perfect escape.
