Gault&Millau's review 2026

Subotica‘s iconic gastronomic address draws guests year-round with its warm ambiance, spacious garden, and remarkably varied offer. As part of the Boss complex, the experience extends to an evocative alley of period shop windows, a wine shop featuring Zvonko Bogdan labels, Baraba rakija, and cigars. Reservations are strongly recommended. The cuisine weaves together Italian, Chinese, Mexican, and national influences, with generous portions that frequently arrive with salads, sides, and fresh pastry. Seasonal dishes are particularly appealing - pumpkin potage and a salad of caramelized pear, goat cheese, and raisins among them. Featured dishes include marinated roasted pork chop with creamed spinach, Ferrari shrimp, grilled octopus on hummus, ribeye steak, lamb chops, turkey with mlinvci, and duck drumstick with raspberry sauce. An extensive wine list and a well-crafted cocktail selection provide natural accompaniment throughout. The dessert chapter is equally generous, ranging from modern creations such as Hazelnut Butter Cake and Voulez Vous to beloved classics including Međimurska gibanica, Somlói Galuska, and Živkova baklava. Discreet and professional service ties the entire experience together with quiet assurance.
