Gault&Millau's review 2026

Situated in a beautiful house in Vračar, Faro is haven for gastronomic enthusiasts. The staff is professional and ready to meet any culinary challenge. A true masterpiece on the menu is ham served with cheese and horseradish ice cream; the ham is so good that it redefines itself. The chef’s decision to transform horseradish - the classic condiment - into a cold, creamy ice cream provides a magnificent and creative contrast. Equally impressive are the house-made tagliatelle with oxtail, which should serve as a universal benchmark for the concept of al dente pasta. This flavorful pasta is served in a rich sauce of shredded oxtail that evokes pure joy with every bite. To finish the meal, the Moskva torta offers a balanced sweetness with a compact biscuit texture reminiscent of traditional holiday cakes. The custard cream provides a velvety silkiness, while the cherries introduce a pleasant sweet-and-sour note that leaves a very favorable impression. The restaurant manages to be both innovative and comforting, taking familiar ingredients and presenting them in ways that surprise the palate. It is a must-visit for those who appreciate high-concept starters and perfectly executed pasta dishes.
