Gault&Millau's review 2026

For more than three decades, Panta Rei has been one of the jewels of lower Dorćol, located on the river bank. The restaurant’s menu is concise. Classics such as steak tartare, served with flavored butter and toasted brioche, or foie gras with berry jam, as well as shrimp ceviche or exquisite tuna tartare served on puffy pea mousse will already tickle your taste buds. The restaurant’s signature dishes - John Dory, sea bass and silver sea bream, served with classic Dalmatian stew, are always available in the main course segment. You have to try the Parmesan-crusted sea bass fillets served with a refreshing quinoa salad, creamy celery puree and a fine dusting of pistachios. Equally interesting is the sweet umami salmon baked with honey and teriyaki sauce or a classic like an excellent grilled tuna steak. No worries, meat lovers will have something to keep them occupied. Duck with duck cracklings should not be missed. You can also order a perfectly prepared steak here with a slice of foie gras on top, and you should not neglect the excellent veal under sač, with potatoes and creamy kajmak. For the end, date cake and cup of good coffee.
