Gault&Millau's review 2026

From each carefully selected ingredient, a very intimate story is told by the chef himself, who succeeds in conveying local flavors to foreigners in a concise way. Gastronomy here transcends mere meals to become a form of artistic hedonism, supported by top-notch service and an impressive wine list. The seasonal menu is a standout; we experienced the winter selection, which remains a fond memory. You are welcomed with a fantastic brioche loaf, the mark of a true host. Following impressive amuse-bouche dishes - notably a sauerkraut ball with mild yogurt and ajvar - comes a completely unexpected classic: the Mezimica bell pepper from the south. Served with crusty bread in honey and milk over a gentle homemade cream, it offers a fascinating play of textures and temperatures. Whether it is pheasant, lamb, or a surprisingly artistic hot dog roll, every dish is designed to charm. To finish, a cake based on bread and milk, inspired by grandmother’s delicacies, bridges the gap between top-tier gastronomy and a deep, unexpected nostalgia. This experience is a masterful blend of local tradition and refined modern artistry.
