Gault&Millau's review 2026

Regardless of the season, this farmhouse captivates with a charm rooted deeply in Vojvodina tradition. Ten minutes from the center of Sombor, it invites guests to surrender to a slow rhythm of space, detail, and slow food. A former barn has been transformed into a spacious hall, where unusual details from the past lend the ambiance genuine authenticity. The menu is short but thoughtful, and almost every item invites an order. The highlights are rabbit in Grandma Zora‘s style and lamb in milk, with occasional additions drawn from the day‘s inspiration. The meal opens well with a vegetable mix and fried cheese, or feta with chili in olive oil, served alongside two types of homemade bread. Fried oyster mushrooms or stuffed eggplant provide a natural bridge to more substantial dishes. Taške - filled with minced meat and served with sour cream and fresh cucumber - are a classic Vojvodina staple, while turkey with homemade mlinci follows a Slavonian recipe with a forest fruit dressing. Homemade sausages, pork knuckle, shoulder, duck, and premium cuts complete the main selection. Šufnudle, brownies, and a plum cake bring the sweet chapter to a satisfying close. Friendly staff, local wines, and rakija round off an experience that earns a return visit.
